1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of jaxbeachhandyman.com (the “Site”), operated by Jax Beach Handyman and Renovations LLC, doing business as Jax Beach Handyman (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Site.

Three separate agreements, and this is only one of them.

What Governed by
This website These Terms
Repair, maintenance, or renovation work at your property The written estimate and Terms & Conditions you sign for that job
The JBH Home mobile app Its own Terms of Service and End User License Agreement

Nothing in this document governs the work we perform at your property. Where these Terms and a signed estimate differ as to that work, the signed estimate controls.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or request a quote.

2. What this Site is

The Site tells you about our services, shows examples of past work and customer reviews, publishes home-maintenance articles in our Info Center, and lets you request a free quote or contact us.

The Site is not a booking system, and it takes no payments. Nothing you do here schedules work or charges you. Estimates are issued separately, and invoices are paid outside the Site.

3. Requesting a quote does not create a contract

This is the most important section here, and it protects both of us.

Submitting the quote or contact form, calling, texting, or emailing us starts a conversation — it does not hire us, and it does not obligate us to take the job. No agreement to perform work exists until:

  1. We issue a written estimate describing the scope and price, and
  2. You accept it by signing it or approving it in writing (a text or email reply counts).

Until both of those happen, either of us can walk away with no obligation and no cost.

We may decline any request, for any reason — including work outside our scope (section 5), addresses outside our service area (section 4), or a schedule we can’t meet.

Estimates we issue are valid for 30 days from their date, and are based on the conditions visible at the time. If hidden conditions turn up once work starts, the estimate’s own terms govern what happens next.

4. Where we work

We serve Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Saint Johns, St. Augustine and nearby areas. If your property falls outside that footprint, we may decline the request or refer you elsewhere. Anyone may read the Site from anywhere; the offer to perform work is limited to the area above.

5. What we do and don’t do

Jax Beach Handyman performs general home maintenance, repair, and improvement work — including drywall, painting, flooring, tile, carpentry, fixture and lighting installation, furniture assembly, fence repair, pressure washing, patio doors, bathroom work, outdoor kitchens, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs.

Work that Florida requires a licensed trade contractor to perform — structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and roofing work — is outside our scope. Where a job needs one of those trades, or a permit we cannot pull, we will tell you and refer you to an appropriately licensed contractor. Descriptions on the Site of services we can perform are not a representation that we hold any particular state contractor license.

What “licensed and insured” means for us. We hold a local business tax receipt for the area we work in, and we carry general liability insurance. We do not hold a Florida state contractor’s license, and we do not perform work that requires one. Where a job needs a licensed trade contractor, we will say so and refer you to one.

6. Prices, estimates, and information on the Site

Any prices, ranges, or example costs shown on the Site are illustrative only. They are not offers, not quotes, and not a promise of what your job will cost. Your price is whatever appears on the written estimate we issue for your property.

We work to keep the Site accurate, but it may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information, and we may correct or change anything on it at any time without notice.

7. Our guarantee, and the warranty that actually binds us

We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with something we did, tell us and we will come back and make it right.

That promise is how we run the business — but the legally binding warranty on any particular job is the workmanship warranty written into the Terms & Conditions of the estimate you signed, including its coverage period, exclusions, and claim procedure. Read it, because it is the document that controls. Nothing on this Site extends, replaces, or overrides it.

8. Calls, texts, and emails

When you give us your phone number through a form on this Site or by contacting us, you agree that we may call, text, and email you about your request — to ask questions, send an estimate, schedule work, and follow up. Some of those messages may be sent using automated technology.

Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of hiring us. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also reach us at mark@jaxbeachhandyman.com or (904) 478-8901. Opting out of texts does not affect your estimate or your job — we’ll just reach you another way. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Info Center articles

Our Info Center publishes general home-maintenance information for Northeast Florida homeowners. It is educational, not professional advice about your home. We have not inspected your property, and no article accounts for its specific condition, age, or construction.

If you follow a do-it-yourself article, you do so at your own risk. Home repair involves real hazards — electricity, water, gas, heights, tools, and structural elements — and getting it wrong can injure you or damage your home. Before you start:

  • Confirm whether the work needs a permit or a licensed trade contractor
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable building codes
  • Shut off power, water, or gas where relevant
  • Stop and call a professional if anything is beyond your comfort

We are not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from work you perform yourself based on our articles.

10. Reviews and examples of past work

Reviews shown on the Site come from our public Google Business Profile. They are real reviews from real customers, published as written; we do not write them, edit them, pay for them, or filter out negative ones. Google, not us, controls what appears there and how it can be used.

Photos of completed work are our own, published with the property owner’s permission and without identifying names or street addresses. Results shown are examples, not a promise that your project will look the same or cost the same.

11. Acceptable use

Don’t:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or to harm anyone
  • Submit false information, impersonate anyone, or request a quote for a property you have no connection to
  • Send us content that infringes someone else’s rights
  • Scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically extract the Site or its contents
  • Attempt to access our systems or data without authorization, interfere with the Site, overload it, or introduce malware
  • Use anything on the Site to build or promote a competing service

12. Our content

The Site and everything on it that we created — text, articles, photographs, graphics, layout, our business name and logo — belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read it, print a copy, and share links for your own personal, non-commercial use. Anything beyond that, including republishing our articles or using our photos, needs our written permission.

13. Third-party services and links

Our quote and contact forms are provided by GoHighLevel / LeadConnector, and we use Google services for measurement and to display our Google Business Profile reviews. The Site is hosted by WP Engine, and our anti-spam checks use Cloudflare. The Site may link to other websites. We don’t control third-party services or sites, we don’t endorse their content, and we aren’t responsible for them — their own terms and privacy policies apply.

14. Privacy

What we collect through this Site, and what we do with it, is set out in our Privacy Policy. Your information is processed in the United States.

15. Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time, without notice. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

16. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SITE’S CONTENT — INCLUDING INFO CENTER ARTICLES, SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS, AND ANY PRICES SHOWN — IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

This section is about the website. The workmanship warranty on work we actually perform is in your signed estimate and is not disclaimed here.

17. Limitation of liability

This section applies only to your use of this website. Our liability for repair, maintenance, or renovation work at your property is governed by the Limitation of Liability provision in your signed estimate. Nothing here limits, expands, or replaces it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on anything published on it, including lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage.

Our total liability for all claims arising from the Site is limited to one hundred dollars ($100.00), the Site being provided free of charge.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims and costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these Terms, information you submit through the Site, or your violation of a third party’s rights. We may assume the defense of any such matter, and you agree to cooperate.

19. Dispute resolution

(This is the same process as section 12 of our estimate Terms & Conditions, so one procedure covers a dispute whether it concerns this website or the work.)

  1. Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceeding, the party with a concern must send written notice describing the issue and the resolution requested to mark@jaxbeachhandyman.com (or, to you, at the address, email, or phone number you gave us). Both parties agree to work in good faith to resolve it for 30 days from that notice.
  2. Arbitration. If it is not resolved after 30 days, the dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Consumer Arbitration Rules and Minimum Standards, in St. Johns County, Florida. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
  3. Small claims carve-out. Either party may instead bring a qualifying claim in Florida small claims court, and either party may go to court for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property.
  4. No class actions. Claims are brought individually, not as a class, collective, or representative action.
  5. Governing law. Florida law governs, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where a court proceeding is permitted, venue is St. Johns County, Florida.
  6. Nothing here waives any right you have under Florida’s Home Solicitation Sales Act or Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

20. General

  • Changes. We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the last revision. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
  • Entire agreement (as to the Site). These Terms are the entire agreement between us regarding this website. Your signed estimate, and the JBH Home app’s terms, remain separate agreements.
  • Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a sale of the business.
  • Electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, and agree that electronic records satisfy any legal writing requirement.
